Dry carbonic baths are applied to the whole body of the patient, who is placed in a special plastic sack filled entirely with carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide reacts with the patient's sweat, which is produced by the rising heat in the sack. As a consequence of the veins and capillaries expanding in the heat and greater elasticity of the red blood cells, the perfusion of the body increases in quality. Sugar production in the cells also increases, and the perfusion ofthe brain, heart and external ities improves while the blood pressure decreases and swelling stops. This is why dry carbonic bath yield positive results while treating the locomotive and nerve apparatuses, osteoporosis, varicose veins, and diabetes and its complications.
